CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
May 15, 2022 9:30 a.m.
Meeting was called to Order by Pastor Gordon Moen.
Meeting was called to nominate members to the pastor nominating committee. Kevin Walker acted as nominating committee chair and asked for any members who would like to serve on the pastor nominating committee.
Pastor Moen asked for nominations from the floor. After some discussion a motion was made to have Kevin Benson and Carol Gridley serve as the Irvington Church representatives on the Pastor Nominating Committee, and seconded. Motion carried.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting, and seconded. Motion carried.

April 24, 2022 9:30 a.m.
Meeting was called to Order by Rev. Austin Hill, Moderator for Presbytery. Rev. Hill opened with prayer.
A motion was made to dissolve the call of Pastor Steve Nofel effective May 15, 2022, and seconded. Motion carried.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting, and seconded. Motion carried.
Rev. Hill closed with prayer.

SPECIAL SESSION MEETING
April 10, 2022 9:30 A.M.
Members present: Dan Culbertson, Kevin Walker, Kevin Benson, Linda Hensley, Carol Gridley
The Irvington session met following church services to set a date for a congregational meeting. A motion was made to convene a congregational meeting of the Irvington Presbyterian Church on April 24, 2022, to formally dissolve the relationship between the church and Pastor Steve Nofel, and seconded. Motion carried. A motion was made to adjourn and seconded. Motion carried.

JOINT SESSION MEETING
April 4, 2022
Members present: Pastor Steve, Carol Gridley, Kevin Benson, Kevin Walker, Deb Mueller, Linda Hensley, and eight members from the Algona Church
Pastor Sara Sutter called the meeting to order.
Pastor Steve opened with prayer.
Pastor Steve gave a brief explanation of his call in Baltimore Maryland.
Timeline of upcoming dates:
April 4, 2022 – Joint Session Meeting with Algona Session
April 24, 2022 – Congregational Meeting
May 8, 2022 – Pastor Steve’s last Sunday to preach
Pastor Sara advised she sees the areas to work on:
- Immediate Need – Moderator and Pulpit Supply
- Intermediate Need – Next 2-3 months pulpit supply
- Long Term – PNC need to work on pulpit supply
May 9th Commission on Ministry would meet.
It was decided the pastoral nominating committee be comprised of five members from Algona and two members from Irvington.
Discussion was held regarding a farewell for Pastor Steve and Kim and family. It was decided to leave this up to each Church.
A Motion was made to adjourn the meeting and seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. Closed with the Lord’s Prayer.

Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m.
A brief discussion was held regarding a request from Don Reffer to join our
congregation.
A motion was made to approve Don Reffer as a member, and seconded. Motion carried.
Don will join the Church on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
A Motion was made to adjourn the meeting, and seconded. Meeting adjourned. Pastor
closed with a prayer.

SESSION MEETING
January 30, 2022 1:40 p.m.
Members present: Pastor Steve, Carol Gridley, Kevin Benson, Linda Hensley, Deb Mueller, Dan Culbertson, Kevin Walker
Pastor Steve opened with prayer.
Pastor called the meeting to order.
A motion was made to approve the minutes from the Session Meeting on October 17, 2021, and seconded. Motion carried.
Kevin B. provided a written Treasurer’s Report for October, November and December, 2021. Kevin reported a balance of $73,850.00 in all accounts. A motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s Reports and seconded. Motion carried.
Old Business:
The new tables for the back room have arrived.
Carpet for front steps – Kevin B. is working on getting someone to do this.
Floor leveling – Decided nothing will be done at this time.
New Business:
Motion to approve use of the Church for a bridal shower for Brad Hoyt and fiancé and seconded. Motion carried.
A motion was made to have Bible School at the Church on Saturday, May 28, 2022, and seconded. Motion carried.
A motion was made to set the communion dates for 2022 on the first Sunday of each month except for February which will be set for the second Sunday due to Pastor’s vacation, and also on Christmas Eve, and seconded. Motion carried.
A motion was made to set the Session Meeting dates and seconded. Motion carried. The date are as follows:
March 20th
May 15th
July 17th
September 18th
November 20th
Congregational Meeting January 29, 2023.
A Motion was made to adjourn the meeting and seconded. Meeting adjourned. Closed with Pastor saying a prayer.
